Minat Merak dan Angsa?

Minat Ayam Belanda/Ayam Piru/Turkeys ???

Anda berminat membela/menternak ayam belanda?

Saya menternak secara sambilan. Alhamdulillah setelah lebih setahun membela, banyak yang boleh dipelajari mengenai ayam ini. Sedikit tips untuk yang berminat.....
Ketika kecil, ayam ini memerlukan penjagaan yang lebih berbanding ayam. Ia perlu kepada persekitaran yang agak panas.Lampu perlu dipasang terutama pada musim hujan. Jika kesejukan, kadar kematian ketika kecil agak tinggi.
Makanan diberi jugak yang mengandungi khasiat yang sesuai. Jika diberi makanan sembarangan, anak ayam belanda menjadi tidak sihat. Elakkan air paip yang berklorin, lebih baik gunakan air tadahan hujan atau perigi/telaga. Jika tidak dapat dielakkan, tadah dulu air paip semalaman sebelum diberi minum.
Pada umur sebulan lebih, boleh juga diberi dedaun ataupun rumput sebagai makanan tambahan selang 2 atau 3 hari. Sedikit pasir boleh diletakkan dalam bekas makanan seminggu sekali kerana baik untuk sistem penghadaman ayam belanda.
Penjagaan yang rapi ini perlu sehinggalah ayam ini berusia 2-3 bulan. Namun demikian jika dilepas ke tanah sebelum usia itu, pastikan persekitaran hendaklah sentiasa kering.
Selepas bulan ke-3, penjagaan menjadi lebih mudah dan kadar kematian adalah sangat kecil.
Boleh diberikan makanan lebihan atau dedaun berserta dedak yang bersesuaian.
Ia amat menggemari dedaun mempunyai kandungan air yang tinggi seperti daun pisang, serai, pandan, kangkung serta rumput. Lebihan sayuran dari pasar juga boleh diberi (basuh dulu takut2 ada racun). Buah-buahan yang telah rosak seperti betik, jambu batu, mangga dsb. juga boleh diberikan. Ayam belanda sukakan makanan lembut/lembik yang senang dipatuk..........
